Enjoyed highly successful, fullfilling career as an elementary and Math teacher for 20+ yrs spanning grade levels K-12. While teaching at the secondary level, taught all levels of Mathematics and served as Math Dept. Chairperson and District Mentor Teacher (9 yrs). During tenure of teaching math at the middle school level, envisioned, created, planned, directed, wrote curriculum and instructional materials and was sole instructor for an interactive math course/lab targeting at-risk students. In less than a year, students' math competency grew an average of 2 yrs. As a teacher, consistently held Leadership roles at the district and county levels and was selected as Teacher of the Year at both school site and district level. After leaving teaching, accepted a position as Math Product / Curriculum Director for an Educational Services Company. While in this role, served as Project Manager and content developer for an Award winning online Math Assessment Program and authored a Geometry text / instructional manual.
